What should I do when Chrome freezes and causes Ubuntu to freeze aswell?

Yesterday I was playing a browser game when all of a sudden, the game has a lot of objects on the screen and it causes Chrome and Ubuntu to freeze.

Instead of forcefully powering it off, i decided to close the laptop lid in hopes of it recovering.

A couple of hours later I decided to open the laptop lid and I saw that the lockscreen had no wallpaper, and text staying in every frame. I closed the lid again after that.

Today I decided to open the lid once more and the screen was a garbled mess, I'm not sure what to do right now.

You should shutdown or reboot. Suspending in such situation can only make things worse. Then take your time to troubleshoot the problem.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
