Installing nvidia drivers killed ethernet connection

um flag

After installing nvidia drivers for my gtx 1050 ti I have no ethernet connection anymore. I read some other people's problems and i booted into grub recovery mode for an older kernel. But when i boot intonthe normal kernel it still doesn't work. Anyway to make both Nvidia drivers AND my ethernet connection work? I made the switch to linux today so I don't know too much but this problem has costed me 4 hours so far.

Keep using the older kernel and keep updating the system as usual. Sooner than later a new kernel will be installed and that - we hope - won't have the problem the current one has. This is unrelated with the installation of Nvidia drivers, it's just a coincidence.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
