stuck in reboot loop - reason unknown

rw flag

tried out Ubuntu 22.04 from a USB stick and it works fine on a new laptop computer, but after installing it I am left with it constantly rebooting with just 'reset system' message flashing up. Have tried minimal install, checking UEFI settings but nowhere nearer finding cause or knowing what to try next. Is there any boot log file I can look for if I start it again from the memory stick? Any other suggestions as to how it might be resolved will be appreciated.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
