XPS 9310 Webcam not working on Ubuntu 22.04

cn flag

I've got a XPS 13 9310 running Ubuntu 22.04 with the internal webcame not working. This issue actually started in 20.04 and upgrading didn't help. I've searched through quite a few similar posts on this but as yet not found a solution.

I've followed the steps here to try and resolve this Despite the 9310 not being listed I tried the 9315 option:

Dell XPS 13 9315:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:oem-solutions-group/intel-ipu6
$ sudo apt install libcamhal-ipu6ep0
$ sudo rebootde here

Without luck.

The following result are:

dmesg | grep video

    ACPI: video: Video Device [GFX0] (multi-head: yes rom: no post: no)
[ 9.671330] videodev: Linux video capture interface: v2.00
[ 10.187603] usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo

I also tried using the Webcamtest which showed: enter image description here

Bios doesn't seem to have anything turned off or on that would affect this.

If anyone has an idea of what this could be or what I could try to resolve this I would be greatly appreciative.

Many thanks,

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
