Ubuntu 22.10 Modeset Error

fr flag

I am running Ubuntu 22.10 (i7 9700KF + RTX 2080) with Nvidia driver version 525.xx, on X11. Recently I have been noticing micro-freezes (around 1-2 seconds) on unlocking, and sometimes while tab-switching in Firefox. These are the only occurrences, and other GPU intensive tasks (like gaming etc.) does not cause any freezes or slowdown. The only thing I could find of any relevance in the logs that correlate with the freezes is this error:

[drm:nv_drm_master_set [nvidia_drm]] *ERROR* [nvidia-drm] [GPU ID 0x00000100] Failed to grab modeset ownership

Any ideas on how to resolve this? There seems to be launchpad bug report, but without much info in the comments section.

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
