System not booting after Ubuntu install

in flag

I just tried to install Ubuntu Server 22.04 on my new build workstation, but after a presumably successful install in the first few seconds of booting the system just stops and does not do anything.

I reinstalled the system and find the same behavior. With the same USB stick and the exact same image I had no problem installing and running the OS on other systems.

Specs:

  • Threadripper 5975WX
  • ASUS Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE Wi-Fi mainboard
  • 256GB reg-ecc RAM
  • RTX 4090

Did you update UEFI firmware & SSD firmware? New systems may have updates available. Are you using UEFI install with gpt partitioning? Not sure if this runs in the server version, you need a live Desktop installer or download ISO which may be older but functional. Please copy & paste the pastebin link to the BootInfo summary report ( do not post report), do not run the auto fix till reviewed. Use often updated ppa version over somewhat older ISO with your USB installer or any working install. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair & https://sourceforge.net/p/boot-repair/home/Home/

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
