Laptop keyboard not working after waking from suspend

in flag

I have an HP Pavilion Laptop 14-dv0xxx with Ubuntu 22.04.1 installed and everything works fine, except almost always after I wake from automatic suspend there is a long delay before the keyboard will work (not a USB keyboard, the normal laptop keyboard). The time delay does not seem consistent before the keyboard will "wake up," and I can use the mouse just fine. So I can click on Users, Accessibility Options, etc, but not enter my password for awhile. When I restart the computer, I don't have the problem, I can just enter my password and go.
I bought the laptop back 2021 and immediately installed Ubuntu (dual boot), and I've had this problem the entire time. It's just kindof a mild annoyance more than anything else, but either the length of time has gotten longer or it has just gotten more irritating of late.
Please let me know where I should look at fixing this issue. Thanks!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
