Mouse cursor needs to be shaken to appear on start in Ubuntu 22.04

cn flag

When I boot my laptop, my mouse cursor does not appear unless I shake it (using the track-pad) quite heavily. This issue seems to only occur one time right after the boot and never afterward.

I just made an upgrade from 20.04 to 22.04 on a brand new laptop (dell precision 5470, resolution 2560x1600 scale 200% if that can help). Note that I'm using Nvidia proprietary drivers 515.86.01 and I think (but I'm not entirely sure) that the issue wasn't here with the default open source drivers.

There wasn't any issue before the upgrade.

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
