Impossible to duplicate monitor on Ubuntu 20.04

ru flag

I have a Dell laptop equipped with an Nvidia graphics card. When I connect my computer to a video projector at my university, it works fine. However, when I want to clone/duplicate the screens (have the same image on each monitor), the video projector tells me that HDMI1 is not connected. When I do this on my home video-projector it works fine. I have students with the same problems, others for whom it works just fine. All are using Ubuntu on a Dell laptop.

Is there any fix for this? I have tried duplicating the screen using parameters->display but also via nvidia-prime (I have an Nvidia graphics card). In the first case it doesn't work, in the second, the option to clone the screen is just not proposed.

Any idea?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
