Changing back to 1920x1080 not working after switching to 1280x1024

gh flag

I went to displays in settings and switched by resolution to 1280x1024. Now I can't switch out of it. I was in resolution 1920x1080 but I can't go back. If I plug it into another HDMI slot it goes back to 1920x1080 but now this HDMI slot is stuck in 1280x1024.

I've also tried via the command line. When I type xrand -q I get the below

Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1280 x 1024, maximum 16384 x 16384

typing

xrandr --output HDMI-1 --mode 1920x1080

doesn't do anything but turn the display off for a sec and turn it back on in the same mode 1280x1024 without any error messages or anything. A note if I start in recovery mode it's in 1920x1080.

Does anyone know how to change my display back to 1920x1080 for this HDMI port?

I solved this by getting a new monitor lol

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
