Ubuntu 22.04.1 can't load after fresh install, error at boot and partition error in "gparted"

ag flag

I installed Ubuntu 22.04.1 from USB stick, replacing Elementary OS. This same iso worked before when it was written with Rufus, but this time prepared USB using the built-in Elementary OS tool (probably bugged). Now the PC does not see the installed OS at boot, the error is "no bootable drive found, check the cable".

  1. I tried to reinstall the OS (the already installed Ubuntu was detected normally during installation). I also tried to install alongside the existing OS. Neither one worked. The BIOS still doesn't see either the OS or the correct drive on boot.

  2. When using "Try without install" from flash drive, tried this command as suggested somewhere:

     sudo grub-install /dev/sda

    It gives the error

grub-install: error: failed to get canonical path of `/cow'.

  3. GParted shows an error for the /boot/esp EFI system partition part as shown in the screenshot. It says:

Unable to read the contents of this file system! Because of this some operations may be unavailable. The cause might be a missing software package. The following list of software packages is required for fat32 file system support: dosfstools, mtools.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
