Background noise on headphones after updating to Ubuntu 22.04.1

bl flag

After updating my system from 20.04 to 22.04.1 background white noise is present when I use my headphones. I'm using Lenovo Ideapad 700, it is an older laptop, but everything worked for years, first on 18, and then on Ubuntu 20.

This only happens when using 3.5mm jack headphones, audio on laptop speakers works fine, also bluetooth headphones work fine.

Noise is not present always, it is present when the system is about to reproduce sound (I start playing music, or watch video).

I tried: pulseaudio -k && sudo alsa force-reload but without any success.

Also, when noise is not present and I run: pulseaudio -k noise appears for a few seconds and then disappears, until I try to play music, video or have a call.

Interestingly, I booted Ubuntu live version and there everything worked fine, also I reinstalled the system and it worked for 2 days without any problem.

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
