Computer does not connect to screen or projector

va flag

I use a dell laptop with Ubuntu. Pretty often I have trouble connecting to external screens or projectors via my hdmi output. If I restart my computer however, it connects to the external display without any problem. I never have any problem connecting to my external displays via usb-c + my docking station.

  1. How can I fix this?
  2. As an alternative, can I restart the "hdmi-output" from the terminal in some way, such that I dont need to restart the entire system? I know there is "xrandr" command, but I dont know how to use it..

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
