pacific image primefilm 7200 scanner not found

in flag

Running ubuntu 22.10 with standard sane scanner packages.

I have a pacific image primefilm 7200 film scanner that works with windows 10.
When i plug into my ubuntu laptop, the lsusb command shows the device as a reflecta 7200 crystalscan with usb id 05e3/0145.

Simple scan and hamrick vuescan do not show the scanner as visible.

Vuescan lists the device as supported in their documentation, and it does indeed work with win10 vuescan

A minute or two later, and the lsusb command does not show the device as connected.

Same cable same device works fine on win10.

What settings, drivers, rules must be tweaked to use the scanner?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
