USB not working anymore (xhci_hcd can't setup)

jm flag

Yesterday I worked with Arduino IDE 2, Gnome boxes (windows + spice) and today my usb ports are not working, as well as waking up the laptop from the power button. It's the second time in 2 weeks that my computer is doing that (I had to reinstall the OS (Kubuntu 22.04 and now Kubuntu 22.10) less than a week ago). Obviously, I can't spend a day reinstalling everything each week ...

At boot, I see

xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0 can't setup: -110
xhci_hcd: probe of 0000:00:14.0 failed with error -110

lsusb is returning nothing

Some of the things in remember from yesterday :

  • Working with Arduino IDE 2
  • Install support for openocd and debugging (through USB)
cd /etc/udev/rules.d
sudo wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/arduino/OpenOCD/master/contrib/60-openocd.rules
sudo udevadm control --reload-rules
  • Added me in dialout group

Does someone know how to repair this issue and what may be the exact cause ?

Many thanks

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
