Monitor/Hdmi detection issue when ubuntu is installed

bn flag

My laptop is an HP Pavillon Dm-4 1300ST with a Radeon H6370M graphics card.

When I boot Ubuntu from the USB (by selecting Try Ubuntu), it recognizes my HDMI port and the connected monitor and works perfectly. However, it can no longer detect the monitor after installing Ubuntu from the same USB (it made updates during the installation though, may be something was broken during those). When booted from the USB, it can still detect the monitor.

How can I solve this, given that it works from the USB version? What should be my first steps to find the root cause?

Please [edit] your question by adding Ubuntu and kernel version (of the installed system).

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
