Issue with Ubuntu's Display Options and External Monitor Connectivity

US flag

I have installed the recommended drivers for my GTX 1650 graphics card (driver version 525). However, when the "prime" setting is set to "on-demand", Ubuntu is unable to detect and utilize my external monitor and only displays on the laptop's screen. On the other hand, when I set it to "Nvidia high performance", I am only able to boot with the "nomodeset" configuration on grub. Upon booting, Ubuntu only displays on the external monitor while my laptop screen displays the error message "ACPI BIOS Error (bug)... etc." Although I am able to use my PC properly in both scenarios, I am unable to utilize multiple display options such as "extend" or "clone" in Ubuntu's interface. I!ve tried older driver versions like 515,510 but the result is the same. How can I fix this?

You've provided no Ubuntu product or release details; it appears you're asking about a Ubuntu Desktop install, but are you? What release of your *unstated* Ubuntu product? and if a LTS release which kernel stack did you opt to use? (*installation media dictates this for some releases, currently we have no clear details*).

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
