Need guidance on the warning: Property WM_NAME on window 0x400003e contained invalid UTF-8

ug flag

For a few months, my laptop would freeze randomly. It was fine until recently when it started freezing more often and I had to restart it to get it back to normal.

I checked syslog to find a warning that I doubt might be related to this issue

Mar 12 00:00:11 dell-Inspiron-14-3467 gnome-shell[1873]: Window manager warning: Property WM_NAME on window 0x400003e contained invalid UTF-8

I have already gone through this link but I was not able to find the solution in it.

Also, it is worth noting the laptop freezes have occurred till now when I had Firefox [non-snap version/DEB version] open. However, logs didn't seem fishy for Firefox.

Please help me to find the reason for this warning/solving it.

OS: Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS

Warnings are not the reason for a freeze and are intended for a developer of the package related to the message. As it is related to gnome-shell start by disabling all extensions, see if that stops the warnjng and then 1 by 1 enable them to find the culprit. This is likely not the cause of a freeze as a freeze by program (like Firefox) tends to freeze that specific program and not the while system. More likely a freeze is a memory module problem. Maybe do a memory check?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
