Can't unlock from gnome screensaver ubuntu 20.04

jp flag

Ubuntu 20.04 with Gnome desktop. After the screensaver kicks in (or the hotkey Super+L) I can't unlock with my password. I can enter it in the input field, but it always tells me that the password is incorrect. If I select Change User it leaves the Gnome desktop and presents the purple login screen. From there I can select my username and enter my password and it takes me back to my Gnome session like it should. This started a couple of months ago, probably after an update. It worked fine previously. Any ideas on how to fix?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
