After upgrade to 23.04 keyboard no longer works under gnome

cn flag

After upgrading to 23.04 the keyboard of my GPD Pocket 3 is not recognized on Ubuntu after logging into Gnome (I use SSDM for logging in). This is the case under Wayland and xorg. However, it is recognized under KDE (at least under xorg.

I do not think this is related, as Kubuntu runs with the same Kernel. This sounds similar but it relates to a rather dated bug that has since been fixed.

cat /sys/class/dmi/id/chassis_type

returns 10 (Notebook) which sounds correct to me (this of course is under KDE)

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
