Web related content segfaults

gf flag

I have a laptop (Lenovo Lenovo IP 5 15ARE05) only running ubuntu 22.10. I installed ubuntu on it and restored a backup on it.

Since start web related content keeps crashing. Firefox, vscode, chrome, Brave etc. crashes regularly. No other content crashes. The segfaults are often sudden and happen without any warning. Sometimes a tab crashes, sometimes the computer dies completely. Usually the computer freezes and needs to be turned off. It is more likely to happen when reopening the laptop when it has been in standby but seems to be random. Non web related processes don't crash.

When a process freezes killing it via terminal doesn't work. I can run "kill PID" in terminal but the process doesn't disappear.

I have run memtest, hardware diagnostics, it works with a live USB and I have googled every error message I can find.

Welcome to AskUbuntu. 22.10 is no longer supported. You may want to upgrade to 23.04 or reinstall 22.04, which is an LTS. If the problem persists afterwards, update this question with the version you installed

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
