Doesn't Command (⌘) Alt F1 (or 2 or 3 or 4 etc) work?

You'll have to look at your virtualization software settings to see how it handles special key combinations. Some have options to pass through, say, the left ctrl + left alt, and some have drop-down menus with options for various Ctrl+Alt key combos.

Or you can try commands like `chvt`: [Command to switch to tty1?](https://askubuntu.com/questions/919552/command-to-switch-to-tty1) -

Virtualbox has an on-screen-keyboard option. Something similar maybe there in your virtualization software

chvt 1 works for me but i have to login in to GUI mode first and then go to terminal and type command chvt 3 to switch to CLI mode. Is there any shortcut to direct I can login into CLI without logging in to GUI mode.
I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
