How to enable monitor

ss flag

I use Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS on my HP ZBook laptop.

I try to connect ASUS VE248 monitor via HDMI-to-HDMI cable.

After monitor connected I can see "Could not enable monitor" notification poping though in Displays Settings second monitor appeared. No visual changes on monitor. enter image description here

What can the reason for such behavior and how to fix that?

The solution was quite straightforward: I just needed to select the "HDMI" source on the monitor with "sources" button...

For some reason I thought that since only a laptop is connected to monitor, source would be defined automatically, but no, by default the source is "DVI" and need to switch to "HDMI" manually.

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
