Are there a pre- and post-install hooks before going into reboot in Ubuntu Desktop Installer (as of 23.04 changes)?

I want to customize installation CD for Ubuntu 23.04 Desktop.

During Ubuntu 23.04 install there is cascade of Ubuntu installers: UDI, Subiquity, Curtin.

Technically I want to do a thing, which during installation of Ubuntu by UDI installer is equivalent of early-commands and late-commands from Subiquity's autoinstall. I.e. I want to trigger a custom hooks before and after installer's job.

I succeeded with the server ISO customization: ubuntu-desktop package can be installed with Subiquity and with it's autoinstall. It do not fit.

UDI have nice GUI and live session is available.

Tell me please,

  • Are there any pre- and post-install customization hooks for UDI?

  • Is there a file or hook, where it is possible to put inside ISO file my own scripts for customization of a system to be installed with UDI? How it is called, what is it's path?

Thank you!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
