Online Accounts can't sign into google on Kubuntu

cn flag

I am on freshly-installed Kubuntu 23.04 (KDE Plasma 5.27.4) trying to sign into my google account in system

Settings → Online Accounts → Add Account → Google

When I select Google, a pop-up window shows up asking for my username. When I put it in and hit Enter, the window looks like it's loading something, but it never does. When I close it, a message pops up in the Settings window saying

There was an error while trying to process the request: Access grant not present

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
