I think a kernel upgrade has wiped out sound on my laptop.
The internal devices (HDMI and speakers) appear in the KDE widget, but no sound issues from anything.
I tried adding the pipewire ppa to the system (KDE Neon) to upgrade pipewire, but I'm getting the following errors on the upgrade
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
gstreamer1.0-pipewire : Depends: libpipewire-0.3-0 (= 0.3.48-1ubuntu3) but 0.3.78-1~ubuntu22.04 is installed
pipewire : Depends: libpipewire-0.3-modules (= 0.3.48-1ubuntu3) but 0.3.78-1~ubuntu22.04 is installed
pipewire-bin : Depends: libpipewire-0.3-modules (= 0.3.48-1ubuntu3) but 0.3.78-1~ubuntu22.04 is installed
Depends: libpipewire-0.3-0 (= 0.3.48-1ubuntu3) but 0.3.78-1~ubuntu22.04 is installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
I tried purging pipewire, pipewire-bin and gstreamer1.0-pipewire but still no joy on installing the newer version.
Since trying this, I can no longer pair the bluetooth speaker either, on connection it fails with br-connection-profile-unavailable. I tried removing it and re-pairing with the same result.
This is now officially annoying. Anyone have any clues as to where to start on this?
Thanks heaps.
