SSL To SQL From Remote Computer

cn flag

I have a SQL Server 2019 instance installed on Server 2019. A CA Cert is in the server and the SQL server is forcing SSL using that Certificate. I am able to login to the SQL server with the Management Studio using the connection information SERVER.DOMAIN.COM\DATABASE. The certificate uses the FQDN to secure the connection.

I am trying to access the SQL Server database from a client on the same network. When I do so I get the error:

The target principal name is incorrect. Cannot generate SSPI context (Microsoft SQL Server).

I am using the same SERVER.DOMAIN.COM\DATABASE for the connection information on the client as I as on the local server. I have also tried importing the server certificate onto the client to ensure secure and am still getting the same error. What am I missing to get into the SQL server?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
