Windows DNS endpoint health check before response

us flag

I have two DFSR servers in namespace, and two DNS on each of them. DNS are integrated with AD.

Sometimes one of the servers goes down and some document scanners try to send scanned documents to drive that is in DFSR namespace but that drive is unavailable too.

Is there possibility in Windows DNS to check endpoint healthiness (availability) before response to DNS request?

Just configure a secondary DNS server at your clients. If primary DNS is down, secondary DNS is being used.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
