Postfix: Receiving emails to an account works only if it aliased to itself

mp flag

I have a Postfix email account [email protected] and the following two aliases:

mydomain.com     -> [email protected]   # catchall alias
[email protected] -> [email protected]

Now the second one looks silly but if I remove it, every email which is sent to [email protected] gets delivered to [email protected] even though (1) [email protected] is an account, (2) is enabled and (3) is not a send only account.

Why is the reception of any emails sent to this account only working if the alias to itself is enabled?

Here's my Postfix configuration:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
