IIS Redirects to multiple subfolders then errors when I use different rule name
ru flag

I have a very strange issue which I couldn't figure out. In the IIS under URL rewrite module I have a redirect rule, which works absolutely fine when it is under a specific rule name, however, when I change rule name it redirects to so many subfolders. For example, when I set my rule name "Redirect to signup page" and access the URL

example.com/companyName/login

it redirects me to

example.com/subFolder ...

Elastic Beanstalk: Not upgrading to newest docker container?
kr flag

I've been banging my head against this for days now and can't seem to figure out the last step. I'm trying to deploy a nodejs app as part of a multi container setup to elastic beanstalk.

Everything seems to work but when I upload a new application version (eb deploy) the environment no docker pull is performed to get the newest version of the container. Instead, the image that is stored on th ...

Terraform on a Network Share
us flag

I'm having a small issue where Terraform will not run from a network share - It is unable to read or write the lock files.

I am running on a Proxmox homelab with FreeNAS (TrueNAS) mounted to a Ubuntu VM as an NFS Share. Before I start diving into permissions and whatnot, I wanted to confirm I essentially need to give terraform permissions to access the share? TF was installed with elevated permis ...

Nginx Accessing Issues
us flag

So I've got Nginx up and running with different server blocks. However, when I've just tested an image on one of my sites it seems that it's not displaying it. Although it is on my local version of the site. I've looked around on the internet a little and I've seen people say add different things to the config of the site itself in the "sites-available" directory. I've got this now:

How can I identify any computers by their hostname through my Cisco ASA5506 Firewall?
in flag

I have set up my Cisco ASA 5506 with a very simple configuration (port 1/1 as wan and port 1/2 as lan) with a simple DHCP server dynamically assigning the ip of the only lan port (so it will always be the first available as there is no wifi on this model). I have noticed that I cannot identify any computers by their hostname (such as through wins) if the traffic is being routed through the ASA. Everythi ...

Until yesterday this used to work, we are able to create a new set of pods under a namespace. However, today any new deployment fails to mount the PVC and I have no idea why.

How can I investigate this further, nothing was changed meanwhile.

NginX redirect Frontend to different port and path
tn flag

For some very specific reasons I have to access two different routes on my frontend and the only variable in how they are accessed I have control over is the port. So what I would like to do is depending on the port, either access the frontent normally, or access it under a different path:

myUrl:80 -> myUrl:80
myUrl:8081 -> myUrl:80/someRoute

I have tried to implement this with a proxy_pass as f ...

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
