Assigning different external IP for each Pod on GKE autopilot
cn flag

I am in the process of moving our project from the Compute Engine to GKE autopilot (cost efficiency, scale-up/down).

Currently, in the Compute Engine, each machine gets a different external IP (at no cost, by default, I don't care about reserving IPs, incoming traffic).

I just care that the target/destination the machines requesting data from, will see they are from different IPs

How can I make each

basic understandig about kerberos sso in apache
jp flag

I'm trying to configure kerberos sso in apache at the moment. On the test server the website sub.internal.local workes quite well in reference to the kerb sso. When I try to adopt the config to another apache server, which is opend via sub.external.com I only get a log in dialogue.

So just for my understanding, what do I need to change in the krb5.conf file or the generating of the *.keytab file?

I'm using a Graylog server to centralize logs from network equipment and servers and I'm wondering if the Syslog service on the switches, windows machines, and other equipment, that service still going to save logs locally or just send them remotely and stops the local logging process?

Is there a way to create a "striped" LV in a VG with 2 disks of different sizes in such a way it utilizes 100% of the available space? Linear LV would work, but I want to have the load proportionally distributed over the 2 SSDs, one 500GB and the other 1TB.

/usr/bin/google_osconfig_agent is killing cpu and my instance on GCP
cn flag

This happens once a month where /usr/bin/google_osconfig_agent is maxing out the CPU utilization, and then the entire instance is not available (both HTTP/HTTPS and SSH) connections time out.

Only solution I have is to restart the vm instance on GCP.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
