I have installed a HP Smart Tank 500 on Ubuntu 20.04.
First, I downloaded and installed HPLIP via command line (ver. 3.21.4), I selected the "automatic" option for installation and, picking all suggested defaults prompted, but after replugging the printer, it got stuck with a beep noise.
Later, the prompt for GUI wizard was chosen and the printer was added anyways (but beeping never stopped, so I restarted both printer and laptop).
I can send jobs to the printer, but they actually do not print and they appear marked as "printing".
I can see the printer with a green mark in Printers, although when checking device-properties I see "Status: INACTIVE".
Could you please point me out what could be the issue and how to fix it?
Notes:
When launching hp-toolbox, I click on "Diagnose HPLIP Driver" and I see the following warnings:
