DisplayPort randomly changes resolution after powersave mode

br flag

I recently switched from using the HDMI ports on my monitors to using DisplayPort (for high fps gaming). On Ubuntu I've run into a really annoying problem: very often, when I leave my computer for a while and the screens go black, it becomes very hard to wake the monitors by shaking the mouse or pressing keyboard buttons. When the monitors finally wake up, the resolution on the computer is completely messed up. Ubuntu settings sometimes claim that the monitors are still running 1920x1080, but the resolution is always extremely zoomed in (to the point that I can't even get far enough down in the settings to change back to the original settings). Usually any setting I change reverts back to the correct resolution, but it's still very annoying to have to reconfigure my monitors every time I log in.

Any suggestions on how to deal with this? It's really becoming quite annoying.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
