Annoyances/questions about my Logitech MX Keys keyboard and MX Master mouse

us flag

I'm running Ubuntu 21.04.

I have an MX Master mouse and an MX Keys keyboard.

I also have Solaar installed.

Questions:

  1. How do I configure what the buttons on my mouse do? I'd like to be able to click on the thumb button to activate the "app switcher" for example.
  2. I keep on getting notifications when the keyboard in particular wakes up. Is there any way of stopping those notifications?
  3. Is there any way of getting the system to remember that I have turned the lights down/off on the keyboard. Every time I log in I have to dim the keyboard and it would be nice to not have to do this everytime.
  4. If I'm not touching the mouse for a few minutes the scrolling gets really slow, I need to open up Solaar and I uncheck then recheck scroll wheel resolution and it seems to fix it. Is there any way to stop this happening?
  5. The battery percentages shown in Solaar seem wrong compared to what I see when I log into my Windows setup. It's not really a huge issue, although I have noticed that since I started using Ubuntu a month or so back I've had to charge my keyboard and mouse more than I would have when I was using Windows.
  6. Is there any way to speed up the scrolling of the mouse? In settings there is only the option to switch primary buttons, invert the scrolling or change the movement speed. I don't see any way of changing the scrolling speed.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
