Any keyboard key toggles power off when waking from Suspend or Hibernate

in flag

This is my first time posting! This community has been super helpful for troubleshooting my Linux issues so far. I got a fresh one here that I'm absolutely stuck on.

I have a brand new ASUS A15 gaming laptop running on dualboot Windows 10 and Ubuntu 21.04

  • Ryzen 7 processor
  • 1 TB & 512 GB NVMe SSDs
  • 32 GB RAM
  • Nvidia 3060 RTX

Whenever I open the lid or wake my machine from suspend or hibernate in Ubuntu any key on my keyboard triggers the prompt to shut off my computer. I've tried exploring logind.conf and sleep.conf but my limited expertise has not yielded any results. A full shutdown solves the issue until it goes again into hibernate or suspend. Restarting the computer does not fix the issue, only a full shutdown.

Does anyone have any insight? What information can I provide from my device for more clarity? Thank you!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
