Ubuntu 21.04 drivers updates not working, E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Its been a while since i have installed Ubuntu and after 4 weeks later i remembered that i didn't configure or install any driver manually. This happened because my touch pad was lagging a bit and didn't feel the same as it was before on Ubuntu. I tried finding drivers for my laptop[dell latitude e6420] on dell original site, but the thing is they have only got drivers till Ubuntu 10.04

I tried them too though i wasn't sure that i was doing the right way but when i did they showed me this error

sameer@Lattitude:~/Desktop/latitude_touchpad_10.10_A02/scripts/chroot-scripts/fish$ sudo ./12-alps-driver-psmouse-maverick-2.6.35.22.sh

This driver is way too old to be compatible with a modern DKMS or Linux Kernel. Your problem may be better solved if you mention the problem with the touchpad instead of the problem with installing the old DKMS driver.

Well I am insisting that I want to install that driver. I just want to know how can get new drivers for my system, if not possible how can I reinstall them . Maybe that would would fix

I’m afraid you are not going to be able to install that driver full stop. You’re better off trying to figure out how to resolve your problem with the current driver, or reporting bugs to libinput, which aims to replace individual Xorg drivers entirely.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
