Laptop with external monitors. Screen splits and shakes

in flag

I am having an issue with external monitors and Ubuntu. Whenever my laptop goes to sleep and then wakes back up, this happens. The screen seems to split and then shake. It sometimes happens to one monitor, sometimes both, sometimes neither.

I've learned that if I go into display settings and change the resolution and then revert back it goes away. I would rather find out what the actual issue is so that I wouldn't need to do this anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This seems to be the closest that I could find, but it is a few years old and I am not having an issue with the network. It also just says that the screen is flickering and nothing about the split.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
