Kernel Screen after Laptop Lid Close

ms flag

When my computer's lid closes, Ubuntu suspends everything normally. However, upon logging in, one of two things happens. In the past, it would log me in but all of the data from the previous session will be gone. Right now, logging in will take me to the kernel screen, at which point I have to restart the computer.

I have already taken one measure, and I will edit this question with other measures for future reference.
I changed etc/systemd/logind.conf so that HandleLidSwitch=suspend and HandleLidSwitchDocked=suspend is uncommented. This has done nothing.

I have a Gigabyte Aero laptop with an nvidia graphics card. Some time ago I decided to install Ubuntu 21.04, however I had to remove the nvidia driver and all of its dependencies in order to actually make the computer turn on (not get stuck at the kernel or splash screen). For this reason, I'm using xserver-xorg-video-nouveau as the main driver.

Please ask for relevant information, as I don't know what will help resolve this problem.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
