What are the limitations of running ubuntu on a thinkpad?

kr flag

I have been a long time Ubuntu only user. Just bought a Thinkpad X1 Yoga with touch and pen. It's been great so far as it came with windows preinstalled. I'm thinking about moving back to Ubuntu, though.

Are there equal-quality equivalents for what Lenovo offers out of the box on Windows?

  • Lenovo Vanguard
  • Dolby
  • Smart battery management (I know tlp, but sorry it doesn't feel as intuitive as energy management on W$)
  • Pen integration in M$ Whiteboard ...

So I'm not wondering whether Ubuntu will run on the device (of course it will), but whether the device will be having the same functionality.

Battery usage is utter shit on my Thinkpad P72 with 20.04. Brand new battery, fully drained after about 19 minutes.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
