Why is Ubuntu not changing back to original resolution after I run a game in a lower resolution?

Is there any reason why it may be doing that? It doesn't happen when I use Manjaro XFCE. Could the issue Ubuntu or the GNOME DE? I'm using Ubuntu 20.04LTS.

To clarify, are you asking for the reasoning behind this behavior? Or are you asking how to change the behavior so the resolution goes back to the original after you play a game?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
