I have created an mdadm raid on my Ubuntu server 20.04.3. I have it mounted to /mnt/md0, which mounts it to the LVM partition for my boot drive which is 120GB. For some reason, this raid and mount point is taking up space on my boot drive.
I have tried ncdu /
in order to diagnose where the space was going on my boot drive, and the output is as follows:

As I drill down, it appears that this space is taken by the /mnt/md0 directory, and that my recently uploaded files via sftp are taking up the space on the boot drive somehow, rather than being added to the raid. I tried editing /etc/fstab in order to mount the raid to a new directory I made which was /mnt/raid/, then rebooted the server, it doesn't seem to be allowing me to move the mount point, either.
Any suggestions or ideas? I have been struggling with this for days. I also checked using the command 'df -h /mnt/md0/' and it appears to be mounted on the
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv 109G 96G 8.4G 92% /
which is the lv for my boot drive.
What else can I do to further troubleshoot (and hopefully solve) my issue here?
