Ubuntu 21.10 with Wayland: Custom sound theme not working

ng flag

The title says it all. I would like to use Ubuntu with Wayland, but it does not use the sound theme I have specified in Gnome Tweaks. The same sound theme works without issues in X11. Wondering if there is a workaround?

Edited for Details:

I have Gnome Tweaks installed. Gnome Tweaks allows you to specify a custom sound theme under the "Appearance" tab. Provided you have created the directory correctly under /usr/share/sounds.

Using Tweaks I was able to set the sound theme to my custom settings. However, if I log out of Ubuntu, log back in, and click the cog wheel at the log in screen to select "Gnome with Wayland", the sound theme does not work and everything is quiet.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
