Laptop fan runs at full speed for a few minutes on startup

us flag

My current laptop is an MSI but I've also encountered the same issue on a MacBook Pro & a Samsung laptop. All have dedicated GPU RAM.

Running Ubuntu 21.04, Intel i7, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, 6GB RAM.

What happens? - When I boot up the laptop, the fan starts at full speed & continues for several minutes. I've checked the System Monitor & some of the individual cores in the CPU run at close to maximum for a while, then slow down & then another one or two start running at close to maximum. What could be causing this? Is it healthy or is there an issue?

TIA! :)

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
