Windows on screen swapped after display suspend

jp flag

After the displays go to engery saving mode and I activate them again, the windows are swapped for most of the programs.

I'm using Kubuntu 21.10 (upgraded multiple times, fresh install was 18.04 or so?). The problem first occured after upgrade to 21.04 which I did in september.

The problem also affected the Plasma widgets (taskbar, etc.) but after swapping of DisplayPort and HDMI it seems the problem only affects non-KDE windows (Chrome, Firefox, FreeCAD Appimage, ...) KDE "konsole" window is on correct display, but on moved position (to the right)(?!).

My display configuration (xrandr):

Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 5760 x 2160, maximum 16384 x 16384
DisplayPort-0 connected 1920x1200+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 518mm x 324mm
   1920x1200 59.95*+
   1920x1080 60.00
   [...unused modes ommited...]
   720x400 70.08
HDMI-A-0 connected primary 3840x2160+1920+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 608mm x 345mm
   3840x2160 60.00*+ 50.00 59.94 30.00 25.00 24.00 29.97 23.98
   2560x1440 59.95
   [...unused modes ommited...]
   720x400 70.08
DVI-D-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

Display on DisplayPort-0 ist "HP Inc. HP E243i", Display on "HDMI-A-0" is "Samsung Electric Company U28E590".

When the HP was connected to HDMI and the Samsung 4k to Displayport the swapped screens after suspend also affected Plasma widgets like the taskbar. Also, with this configuration, the position information was sometimes (around 1/4) lost completely, so both displays startet at +0+0.

What can I do to improve the situation?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
