Unable to login again on VirtualMachine

us flag

I'm n00b running Xubuntu Core on a Virtual Machine.
I connect to it by xRDP (version 4 I think) and tried VNC but got the same problem
So I don't think it has to do with xRDP or VNC, but something else.

Here is the problem:
Every time I disconnect accidentally, on purpose, or by a timeout and try to login again.
I fill in my username & password and get stuck in this Login-Screen
I can keep pressing enter or ok, but nothing happens, it freezes for a minute or so, and then I can type again, but it doesn't log me in.

To my knowledge, I turned off all power options (sleep, standby, and screensaver) but that didn't work either.

The only way I can log in again is by shutting it down hard and starting it up again.
I'm a complete n00b and I already searched online if I could find a solution.
So I hope someone can get me a solution or point me in the right way.

Thanks in advance.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
