Opening gnome shell on a different x-screen fails after switching users

mk flag

I am running a system with multiple x-screens configured. I need to switch users and then open the gnome-shell on a different x-screen. Running the commands export DISPLAY=:0.1 && gnome-shell --replace before switching users works perfectly. If I first switch users su - user2 and then run the commands I get a warning and the UI remains on the same monitor.

Window manager warning: Unsupported session type

How can I switch users (without going thru login screen) and still control on which x-screen the gnome-shell will be displayed?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
