"Could not find the program" message after editing application path in .desktop file

in flag

Kubuntu 20.04.3 LTS

Plasma Version: 5.18.5

Every time I edit the Exec path in a .desktop file, the program won't start from shortcut in launcher "Favorites" even though Right click->Edit Application->Application->Command shows the correct path. Instead, it throws a pop-up saying Could not find the program 'old/path/'. I can only get it to work properly after logging out (of my user session) and in again or clicking on the "actual" app icon (not the one I put inside "Favorites").

Is there any command I could run on terminal to "refresh" the launcher shortcut and make it work without the need to restart the user session instead?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
