Whenever trying to pair my Galaxy Buds 2 Model SM-R177 in Ubuntu 21.10 the headphones will timeout. Two devices are listed. I try to use Bluez to add them via CLI and unfortunately this does resolve my issue either. If you connect to Buds2 it will just have a spinning wheel and end up saying disconnect. If you connect to Galaxy Buds2 (DE86) it will say connected then disconnected. I wasn't sure with if there was some sort of "seamless" connection Samsung has implemented that I am unable to resolve.
One I assume is the charging cradle: Buds2
- Device XX:XX:XX:XX:BD:0D Buds2
The earbuds themselves: Galaxy Buds2 (DE86)
- Device XX:XX:XX:XX:DE:86 Galaxy Buds2 (DE86)
