# The strategy used for options in the default sshd_config shipped with

Do you have root login enabled in /etc/ssh/sshd_config? If not thats probly the reason.

@petep Hi, thanks for the reply, So, I do not see the option "root login" in /etc/ssh/sshd_config

Its called permitrootlogin=yes. Also, man sshd_config .

@petep I have added the current settings on the description box, can you please let me know which one of them so I have to change as well? BTW... I think the issue could be related to the VPN I am getting access thru it....

If you want to log in as root thru ssh , you have to add "PermitRootLogin yes" to /etc/ssh/sshd_config on server. Make sure its not commented out.

Then restart ssh server. "sudo systemctl restart sshd" to test changes.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
