Cannot Print Ubuntu 22.04 HPLaserjet1018

I cannot print, no matter what I tried.

I have a fresh install on a new machine. the printer was at first connected to a small local and i could not get printing to work. It automatically detected the printer (as well the old position of that same printer which we recently moved from the master to a slave). According to the config I need no authorization. If I hashtag it and print, the hashtag is removed. I f ask authorization, the authorization is not accepted,. Reinstalling everything: Nothing. Next I plugged the printer directly to my machine. It is recognized but does not print. Printing a testpage: the printer dialogue claims it is printing but it is not. If I print from another source, the printer dialogue does NOT accept it.

I have no clue what is happening. And yes the printer is working.
